The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has launched the Developed Nitaqat Program, aimed at encouraging the private sector to employ Saudi nationals, empowering national talent, and enhancing their participation in the labor market.

The Ministry explained that the program is being implemented in two phases: the first phase, launched in 2022, and the second phase scheduled for 2026, as part of an integrated plan to support sustainable localization and increase employment rates within private sector establishments.

It also noted that the target for the first phase was to create 340,000 jobs; however, the number of jobs achieved exceeded 550,000. This reflects the program’s positive impact on reducing unemployment rates and increasing Saudi participation in the labor market.
